Meet Me in St. Louis

This weekend Rob and I spent Friday evening and Saturday in St. Louis. His company's US headquarters is based from there so they have season tickets to the major sporting events there. We were able to enjoy a Cardinals game from their suite. I just may be spoiled now, after having such a wonderful time, I may never want to go back to plain stadium seating...
The Busch stadium which is home to the Cardinals is amazing. It is only 3 years old and is wonderfully kept. They were fortunate to hold the All-Star game this past Wednesday so there was still excitement around town over that honor.
I love how center field was placed to perfectly include the arch in its view.

Albert Pujols, St. Louis' Pride, put on quite a show this evening his first two at bats he had single home runs. His third at bat they were afraid and walked him, and lastly he nearly had a third home run but came up just a few feet short. Needless to say he kept everyone's attention while at the plate!

Isn't that view amazing. I wish my camera could have captured it even better, but you can imagine how beautiful the view is.

The Gateway Arch, is truly a wonder to see. Whenever I see these architectural wonders it absolutely amazes me. To think of the minds that create, and put into action their ideas are true genius. We didn't take the tram to the top, maybe on another trip... BUT do you know they say this arch SWAYS!!! On a daily basis it will sway 1/2 inch to 1 inch, yet with high winds it could sway 18 inches... That is a foot and half. Not real comforting to know, so I may just continue to admire from the ground.
After being gone for a day we are always ready to get back to our sweet babies.

Cal is already dreaming of being the next Pujols. And if you ask this proud mama, I think he has what it takes!
