Chalkboard Fun

I am always looking for new ways to spend time with the kids at home. So while at Home Depot I picked up a can of Chalkboard spray paint. Yesterday I decided to tackle the chalkboard. It ended up being quite the project. Taping off 4 inches around the "board" I figured the walls around it were safe. Not till the 3rd coat of paint did I realize my 4 inches weren't protecting the walls OR floor. So black chalkboard drift was EVERYWHERE!!! Thankfully we decided to put our chalkboard up in the garage. I do give myself a little credit for not attempting to spray paint indoors. That would have be disastrous.

So my little project turned into repainting the entire surrounding wall and then cleaning/scrubbing everything within 20 feet of my chalkboard. But the now that all the cleaning and painting are through I am loving our new chalkboard and so are the kids. I expect we'll spend a lot of time at it
