Ruffle Dress

The idea for this dress was sent to me by one of my Favorite Friends. (she has an absolute love for clothes and style. Ash I wish you were closer the things we would create certainly would be Vashtoria worthy ;)

I do not have the most creative mind but I love to recreate others brilliance and this dress is one of them. If you would like the tutorial on this dress click here: http://katiedid.squarespace.com/katie-did-journal/2009/5/1/tutorial-flower-collar.html

For those who love to sew and seek inspiration I highly recommend this blog. This girl creates some of the cutest clothes. Unfortunately she is a natural talent and often makes her own patterns so for those of us who seek to live within the boundaries of patterns we can only jealously stare. But check it out. Sadly, Laney was in no mood for a photo shoot, so these are as good as it gets.

Personally, if I had tried the dress on Laney before completely finishing I may have taken out a few flowers to make it a little less bulky. It slightly overpowered her small frame but I still the love it and that's what I like about sewing you learn a little each time you create something new.
